Thursday, February 16, the members of the New York Federation of Horticultural Societies and Florists' Clubs met for luncheon at Forest Home, adjacent to the university campus. Fol- lowing the luncheon, a short business meeting was held. Professor Edward A. White, head of the department of floriculture, was the first speaker. He welcomed the members of the federa- tion to Cornell, and presented a brief account of the work of his department during the past year. President F. R. Pierson, of Tarry- town, N.
