William Crowninshield Endicott is descendedfrom John Endicott, who came to Salem in 1628 asGovernor of the Colony, sent out by the MassachusettsCompany. John Endicott was bornin Dorchester, Dorsetshire, England, in 1588, andmarried Anua Goiter, who came with him to NewEngland. She died in 1629, leaving no children, andGovernor Endicott married, August 17th, 1630, Eliza-beth Gibson, of Cambridge, England. He died Marchloth, 1665, and his children were John, born about1632, and Zerubbabel, born in 1665.
