A helmet for cuirassier officers,similar to the Prussian model 1809,1st half of 19th century. High leather skull with brass mountings,and relief decorated comb with a horsehair crest,guard bars,and front plate with the cipher "C" beneath a crown. Rear and front peak edges have reinforcement rails. Metal chinchain on simple pin rosettes. Leather sweatband. Skull is somewhat depressed. Cloth lining missing.
