The Gordon Highlanders, 1936. Scottish regiment lowering the Union flag as the royal carriage passes along Constitution Hill in London. In the distance is the Wellington Arch. 'Raised in 1796 by the Marquis of Huntly, this regiment has a fine record of noble service, and has won high distinction in many campaigns. In their Highland Kilt and Plaid, Scarlet Tunic and Towering Busby, they look very picturesque on parade'.
