A strawberry picking scene on the farm of Mr. Mont Smith, York County, Penna, Mr. Smith has been using Bountiful Ridge plants for several years and finds them superior and giving maximum yields. In spite of the unfavorable moisture condi- tions in 1940 this field of PREMIER made over 8000 quarts to the acre. He can and does command the best market prices for berries such as these grown from Bountiful Ridge Heavy Producing Strain of Premier. A field of Bountiful Strain Premier ready to be dug for our customers during Spring 1941. There is nearly ONE MILLION plants in this field, beautiful specimens of vigor. The boys are learning young to know good plants when they see them. They are sons of Homer S. and Edgar H. Kemp, Asst. Managers of Bountiful Ridge Nurseries. When Mr. Smith came for his plants this past year we took him to the field where we were dig- ging Premier and his smile indicates how well satisfied he was with our Premier Plants. Disease free, vigorous, heavy rooted Bountiful Strain Premier give real results. DORSETT THE BERRY SUPREME One of The Best of The Recently Introduced Berries. Proving the Ideal Commercial Berry, Combining Vigorousness, Productiveness and Quality. Released for introduction by the U. S. Department of Agriculture spring of 1933. The Dorsett surely makes a worthy companion for the Fairfax as each of them seem to have their advantages. The foliage of Dorsett re- sembles that of Blakemore to some extent, apparently not being as vigorous as Fairfax but equally as resist- ant to diseases. The foliage and fruiting stems are more erect than Premier and it is a free plant maker. The fruit is usually conic in shape. The color is bright red similar to Blakemore. The berries will average much larger than Blakemore although not quite so large as Fair
