Diplodocus bone. Technician packing a fossilised Diplodocus bone for shipping. Diplodocus is an extinct genus of sauropod dinosaurs that grew to a length of 25 metres. They lived in the late Jurassic period, 155-145 million years ago. This fossilised bone was renovated at Phil Fraley Productions, USA, a company that specialises in fossil renovation and museum displays. Photographed in 2007.
