This part of the operation is effected in two differ-ent ways : By clearing the natural duel; leading fromthe lachrymal fac through the groove in the os unguisinto the nofe : Or, when this proves to be impractica-ble, by forming an artificial opening directly throughthe fubflance of this bone from the under and backpart of the lachrymal fac.
