For the last few years, in connection withthe observance of Arbor Day, emphasis in the plantingof trees was placed in the following order: (1) First emphasis should be given papayas, bananas,and all trees the fruit of which will increase the food supplyof the people. (2) Next, emphasis should be given such shade treesas have an economic value, due to the commercial valueof the wood or seed.
