CST-100 spacecraft launch. Illustration of Boeing's future CST-100 crew capsule as it would look on top of a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket. These spacecraft and rockets are under development for NASA's Commercial Crew Program (CCP). This integrated system was selected for CCP's Commercial Crew Integrated Capability (CCiCap) programme. CCP is aimed at developing a commercial crew transportation system to allow resumption of space flights by the USA to the International Space Station (ISS). The launch pad shown here is at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. Image published in August 2012.
