Water Taxis moored at Nagaa Jabal Shishah village wait to take tourists to the Temple of Isis at Philae, Aswan, Upper Egypt
Tourists travelling to the temple of Isis at Philae must take a boat from the village of Nagaa Jabal Shishah. Hundreds of boats are moored here and it is normally a hive of activity, with thousands of visitors queueing to get on one. In December 2015 the place was almost completely deserted, with almost no tourists and all the water taxis waiting in vain for something to happen.
