"The Valencia pilgrimage" by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida (1863-1923), a Spanish painter who excelled in the painting of portraits, landscapes and monumental works of social and historical themes. The pilgrimage route eventually leads pilgrims from Valencia, to the alleged burial site of the Biblical apostle St. James, in Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia, Spain.
