A cased pair of percussion pistols, Richards in London, circa 1840. Octagonal barrels with smooth bores in 9 mm calibre, inscribed "London" on top. English proof marks. The snails are inscribed "Richards London". Engraved nickel-silver frames, engraved blued cocks, belt hooks on the sides. Walnut grips with fine chequering. Nickel-silver pommel caps with cap receptacles. Captive iron ramrods. Length of each 22 cm. Mahogany case with brass reinforced corners. The interior is lined with red velvet, presumably replaced.
