Vol. X. pp. 534-542, the following specieshave been added to the list of British Carboniferous LimestoneTrilobites, and will form a part of the forthcoming volume of thePalffiontographical Society for the present year. Carboniferous Limestone Trilobites. 485 Langside, Beith, Ayrshire, , are two fragments of heads of asmall species of Trilobite of the genus Grijithides, which, as thediscoverer observes, appear to differ from any which have hithertocome under notice from the Carboniferous Limestone. The head isnearly twice as broad as it is long, the free-cheek terminatinglaterally in a short spine ; the eye, which is very smooth, is rounderand more tumid than in other species, and the facets, which arereadily discernible with a Brownings platyscopic lens, are veryminute, and do not break the smooth hyaline surface of the com-pound eye. The glabella is nearly smooth in front, and overhangs the anteriorborder of the head-shield, the posterior portion of the glabella andthe neck-lobe are irregularly tuberculated. The free-cheek is alsotuberculated, and has about eight tubercles on each cheek, placed ina semicircle around the
