69th Bomb Squadron B-52H Stratofortress Pilot Capt. David "Lumber" Mills pilots a B-52H after taking off from Minot Air Force Base on May 3, 2022, over North Dakota. With the last B-52H model delivered in October 1962, the airframe is the oldest operational aircraft in the Air Force and is expected to remain in service through 2050.
