A liberal curriculum^ fully abreast of thebest institutions of the land. 2. A sound curriculum, with text-books alongall lines in harmony with the Bible. 3. The Bible a Text-book. 4. Thoroughly qualified and consecratedTeachers. 5. A high standard of scholarship. 6. The Institute a model Christian home. 7. All the influences in the school to be madeconducive to the formation and develop-ment of Christian character. 8. The glory of God the Chief end of all. 68. General Information, Religious The work of each day is begun withFeatures, religious exercises in the chapel andis closed with evening prayer. TheSabbath is observed as a holy day. The board-ing pupils attend the Sabbath-school in the Insti-tute conducted by the resident teachers. All stu-dents are expected to attend church on Sabbathmorning. Prayer-meeting is held in the Instituteweekly. There is also a morning prayer-meetingconducted by the students. The Agnes ScottChristian Band, composed of teachers and pupils, ^meets every Sabbath evening. The Institution has been founded and sustainedby Presbyterians, and hence its moral standardsand religious life conform as nearly as possible tothose which obtain in that church. Special care,however, is taken not to interfere in any way withthe religious views or preferences of students fromfamilies belonging to other denominations, or to nodenomination, all of whom are welco
