Watersnood 1953. 's-Gravendeel in the Hoeksche Waard is sucked dry by the floating pumping pumping Neptune from Wilton-Fijenoord. Eleven polders of the Hoeksce Waard are simultaneously pumped out of a total amount of water of 21,000,000 m3. The piston has a capacity of 900,000 m3 per day with its four pumps.
