Plants moved v/ell and more could have been sold. Corsage work was exception- ally heavy. January 1 Mrs. Lamb be- came manager of the store. The for- mer manager, G. K. Parker, will go into business for himself. T. J. Bracken- berry will take up a position with C. P. Mueller, of Wichita, Kan. He also was with the George M. Kellogg Flower & Plant Co. Tred Fromholdt had to work night and day to get out his Christmas orders. He was cleaned up on everything he had or could get hold of. Miss Jennie Murray had a good trade. Funeral work has been unusually heavy during the last two weeks. She had to stay home for several days to rest up after the Christmas rush. A. F. Barbe sold practically every- thing he had except a few pot plants. He sold 500 holly wreaths at 50 cents and 100 wreaths of different greens at $1 to $10 each. He had plenty of cut flowers and plants for his trade and did not have to buy anything. W. .T. Barnes had a heavy business. He sold more than 125 made-up baskets. He had a large quantity of begonias in 4-inch to 8-inch pots that were fine and sold quickly. His carnation crop was unusually strong. Edward Ellsworth reports the best Christmas trade he ever had and that no complaints were heard. He was sur- prised at the number of baskets sold. Cyclamens and begonias were his best sellers in the plant
