Perhaps it is because the scientists havefrightened people with their formidable Latinnames, but whatever the cause, the fact remainsthat few people can walk through the woods orparks and name correctly half a dozen trees. As one becomes acquainted with these nobleand beautiful plants, he soon finds that eachtree differs from every other tree just as eachhuman being differs from his fellows, and yetthere are families and classes of trees just asthere are races and nations among men.
