An historic Horse Artillery cannon is fired during a re-enactment of Warterloo, with infantry soldiers looking on.
Horse artillery deployed in 19th century battles provided fast moving fire support for cavalry. They could also be deployed to support the infantry lines. A re-enactment of combined horse artillery and militia infantry fire power by the Anglesey Hussars, which comprises of the 7th Queens Own Hussars, mounted cavalry; A Troop - Royal Horse Artillery (RHA) and The Royal Caernarfonshire Rifle Corps (Militia). The RHA wore similar patterned uniforms to that of the hussars, along with Tarleton helmets. The Horse Artillery supported General Paget's Cavalry under Wellington's direction at Waterloo.
