Isolated mountain farm on the slopes of Mt Maglic Prijeoor Sutjeska National Park Bosnia Herzegovina Hill farmers on the slopes of mount Maglic carry on a tradition of farming spanning many hundreds of years living in isolated mountain cabins without even the most basic amenities many miles from the nearest road or communications These families produce cheese and grow livestock to maintain their own self sufficiency or to sell at market During the winter months they retreat down the mountain slopes into the valleys below and return in the spring once the snow has cleared
