Vase, 1749. Meissen Porcelain Factory (German). Porcelain mounted in gilt bronze; overall: x x 21 cm (14 3/4 x 12 7/8 x 8 1/4 in.). One of these vases is dated 1749. They were perhaps part of a set of four covered vases that we know from documents were acquired by Mme. de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV in 1752.
