Saturn. Backlit view of the planet Saturn and its rings, taken by NASA's Cassini orbiter from a distance of approximately 800,000 kilometres while the spacecraft was in Saturn's shadow. Two of Saturn's moons, Enceladus and Tethys, can also be seen as faint dots to the left of the planet and below its rings. Images taken using infrared, red and violet spectral filters were combined to create this enhanced-colour view. Imaged by Cassini's wide-angle camera, on 17th October 2012.
