Office of general foreman has beenabolished. Mr. D. W. Dinan has been advanced tobe superintendent of the Pennsylvaniadivision of the New York Central &Hudson River Railroad. Mr. Dinan wasborn in 1866, and at 17 began railroad-ing as agent and telegraph operator atBinnewater, N. Y., on the Wallkill Val-ley. He was appointed train dispatcheron the West Shore at Kingston, N. Y.,in 1886. In 1900 he was transferred astrainmaster to the Beech Creek districtof the Pennsylvania division of theNew York Central and in igoi was made. D. W. DINAN. chief train dispatcher on the division. InOctober, 1904, he was made assistant su-perintendent and held that position un-til advanced in May of this year to besuperintendent of the Pennsylvania di-vision. Mr. F. M. Vanhoozer has been pro-moted to the position of traveling engi-neer of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain &Southern. He will have jurisdiction onthe Valley Division. Mr. T. E. Jarrett has been appointedsuperintendent of the Southern divisionof the Kansas City Southern, with of-fice at Texarkana, Tex. Mr. Samuel Moody, general passengeragent of the Pennsylvania Lines Westof Pittsburgh, has been appointed gener-al passenger agent of the Cleveland,Akron & Columbus Ry. Mr. Andrew Gibson, superintendent ofthe Yellowstone division of the North-ern Pacific, has been appointed superin- tendent of the Rocky Mountain divisionof the same road. Mr. H. B.
