At its annual convention in Chicago last week, Albert McCuUough, senior member of the well known firm of J. M. McCuUough's Sons, Cincinnati, Ohio, was elected president of the American Seed Trade Association. Mr. McCuUough has been a member of the association since its inception in 1883, serving three years (1886-89) as secretary and treas- urer and one year (1890) as president. He has thus been twice chosen as presi- dent, an honor not previously bestowed on any other member. Mr. McCuUough was born at Cincinnati in 1851. After a collegiate education he entered the estab- lishment founded by his father, the late J. M. McCuUough. He is thoroughly interested in all departments of the busi- ness, giving special attention to grass and farm seeds. In the management of the concern he is now ably assisted by his son, Harry B., the elder gentleman having many other interests which make heavy demands upon his time. California Notes. Thomas A
