BREMERTON, Wash. (May 28, 2018) Cmdr. Brian Rednour, executive officer, Naval Base Kitsap, salutes while standing with Sailors and family members as Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Desirae Stern and Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) Airman Rosa Reynoso, both assigned to Naval Base Kitsap Funerals Division, raise the National Ensign during a Memorial Day ceremony on Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton. Recognized on the last Monday of May, Memorial Day is observed in honor of those who gave their lives in defense of the United States.
