Fuscous black; palpi whitebelow; abdomen ringed withwhite. Fore wing with traces ofcurved antemedial line; a post-medial triangular white patch. Fig. 139. Diathrausta profundalis, ^. extending down to vein 5, and with traces of a sinuous line from .234 it to inner margin. Hind wing with sinuous white postmedialline; cilia of both wings chequered black and white. The forms eoniealis and obliterate/, have the white marks on thecilia much reduced; the former has the triangular white patchsmall, the latter reduced to a spot. Hob. Differs from profunclalis in the fore wing having a white spot ioend of cell; the postmedial white patch on costa with its edgessinuous and outlined with white.
