Bottrop-Gladbeck, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Renaturalised Boye, the tributary of the Emscher, has been transformed into a near-natural watercourse, flood protection and biodiversity through newly designed floodplains. Following the construction of a parallel sewer, the Boye is now free of wastewater, is part of the Emscher river system and thus part of the Emscher reorganisation, was previously an open, above-ground wastewater sewer, combined sewer with surface water and wastewater. Here is the Vorthbach tributary.
