The Quartier des Marolles occupies a triangular area on the south side of Brussels' center between the Gare du Midi, Porte de Hal and the Palais de Justice. historically known as Galgenberg hill the area towers above the city and a lift has been errected as a pedestrian access to the lower area of the city.
