Grey Wolves. View of two grey wolves (Canis lupus) running in the snow. One of the wolves (right) is dark coloured. A fully grown grey wolf has a body length of 100-140 cm and a body weight of 18-80 kg. It preys on large herbivores such as elk, deer, bison and mountain sheep. The grey wolf lives in packs of 5-15 individuals. It is found mainly in North America and Asia, however there are residual populations in Mexico, Europe and Scandinavia. The grey wolf is an endangered species in all American states except Alaska. Photographed in Utah, USA.
