Mount Vodice (SLO) WWI : the kilometrical galleries into the mountain's underground. The galleries of mount Vodice form the widest underground system of the Isonzo front. It was part of the Austro-Hungarian defence line, before being used by the Italian infantry, in May 1917. the long galleries can still be visited using great caution because they are subject to landslides.
