Keep free from weeds. The Sugar and Mangel-Wurzel varieties are grown for feeding stock, and should be sown from April to June in drills two feet apart, and afterwards thinned out to stand one foot apart in the rows. Keep them well cultivated. Eclipse. This variety has proven itself one of the best early turnip beets yet introduced on ac- count of its wonderfully rapid growth, small tops, and extra fine quality.
