Cane toad (Bufo marinus). This toad is native to South America, although it has also been introduced in Australia and elsewhere as a form of pest control. Its warty skin contains a deadly poison that it can squirt if provoked. At low doses the poison produces hallucinogenic effects. Photographed in the Peruvian region of the Amazon Basin.
