The freeportion of the anterior border was formed by a pro-minent semikmar fold of the skin, three fourths of aninch in length, and rendered still more prominent insome movements of the head, in consequence of thefirm adhesions of the deep surface of the cicatrix. Its general appearance was that of a large, flat,and adherent cicatrix. Of these cicatrices she gave the following years ago, being then twenty years of age, at thetime when the last molar, or wisdom-teeth, weremaking their appearance, considerable swelling andinflammation occurred about the angle of the jaw, onthe left side.
