The trapj^er can calculatethe position of the trap and upright twigs so that the Beaverwill put his fore foot into the trap and spring it, when theclutch will seize him through the body and hold him securely. Directions for Attaching the Clutch.—Screw down thetwo ends of the spring with a Newhouse Clamp* until theytouch . each other. By placing the opening of the slotdirectly over the rivet cue of the clutches can be slippedinto its place and when curned and held upright the otherclutch can be attached in the same manner.
