De Ratera waterfalls and alpine forest on Pyrenean Traverse track in the Sant Maurici National Park Pyrenees Spain
Sant Maurici National Park is one of the fourteen Spanish National Parks, it is one of two in the Pyrenees and the only one in Catalonia. The park was created in 1956. It is a wild mountain region in the Pyrenees with peaks rising to 3000m and nearly 200 lakes, many of them of glacial origin. It is a great favourite of walkers and a famous highlight of the great Pyrenean Traverse route.
