Col. Brian P. Hallberg assumed command of the Norfolk District, Army Corps of Engineers, in a change of command ceremony July 8, 2021, at Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center, Norfolk, Virginia. Brig. Gen. Thomas J. Tickner, commander and Division Engineer of the Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division, presided over the ceremony, which serves as a time-honored tradition to ensure a unit and its personnel are never without official leadership.
