Horn worm (Manduca quinquemaculata)
Hornworm, Tomato worm or tobacco worm (Manduca quinquemaculata) crawls on a branch looking for a safe place to hide in the dirt and then pupae over the winter. Once winter is over the pupae will emerge as a large moth find tomato plants to deposit it's eggs and the process starts all over can be reduced by planting marigold flowers around these plants.
