PACIFIC OCEAN (June 1, 2018) Navy Counselor 1st Class Terry Williams, a native of Baxley, Ga., sights downrange with an M-4 rifle on the flight deck of San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), during a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise which certifies the combined Essex Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore during their upcoming deployment in summer of 2018.
