Indian Burrowing Frog. Sphaerotheca breviceps. Bangalore, Karnataka, IndiaDescription : this is a small light brown/olive frog with darker spots or marbling’s. There is a light band along the back and sometimes another on the upper side of each flank. The throat of males is blackish and of females usually brown spotted. It lives in drier areas under leaf litter, rocks and crevices. It is nocturnal and emerges at night from its burrow. It feeds on insects, centipedes, millipedes and other invertebrates Distribution : widely distributed in the Indian subcontinent
