Unlike many bedding plants, their flowers are not liable to be spoiled by rain, nor do the colors fade out. The various blue varieties are without doubt the most satisfactory bedding plants of this color for our trying climate. Easily raised from seed, which is usually started in a hotbed or window and transferred to the open ground in May. Can also be sown outdoors in May. A sowing in September will give plants to bloom all winter. 1071 Blue Perfection. This is the darkest-colored of all large flower- ing Ageratums. Per oz., 25 cts 5 1064 Ver nails {Ox Eye). A hardy per- ennial sort, bearing large, bright-yellow flowers in early spring; 1 foot. \ oz., 20 cts 10 ALYSSUM (Mad Wort). Pretty little plants for beds, â vases, baskets, edgings or rock- â svork, blooming profusely all summer; useful also for winter- flowering. Very sweetly scented.
