A Chalcidian type bronze helmet, 5th/4th century With fine, greenish patina. Distinctly offset skull, the crown pierced with twin holes. Contoured brow gable and arched eye cutouts. Hinged curved cheekpieces and slightly curved neckguard. Height 21 cm, weight 911 g. Very well preserved metal. Small losses at the edge of the right ear cutout and at the left eye cutout. The left cheekpiece and both hinges replaced. Old repair on the left edge of the skull. Beautiful helmet in excellent condition.
