M. 5, 8,1850. * The first, second, and third front upper and the first front lower grinders single-rooted, the rest two-rooted; lower jaw moderate, rather weak; orbits large. 1. LOBODOK. Skull elongate; muzzle elongate; grinders rather compressed, with a large lobe in front, and three lobes behind the larger central one. Head elongate; ear-conch none externally; muzzle broad; nostrils ovate, hairy to the edge; whiskers rigid, tapering, waved. Skull elongate, rather depressed ; nose broad, rather produced; orbits.
