Corpus Christi Church, Tremeirchion, Denbighshire, Wales, UK, was famous for its C14th miracle-working churchyard cross. The Pilgrim's Cross or Rood of Grace has a four-canopied head carved with Christian scenes including the Crucifixion. In 1748 the cross-shaft was used to make a sundial (SW of porch) & in the late 1800s the head was sold by the church wardens to St Beuno's Jesuit College for £5 to buy lamps for the church. Thanks to St Beuno's Ignacian Spirituality Centre the cross-head was returned to the churchyard in 2004, placed on a new shaft & stepped base. This photograph was taken at the office of Chester Masonry Group, Hawarden in September 2003.
