Colonel Jay M. Bargeron, commanding officer, 7th Marine Regiment, addresses the crowd after assuming command of the regiment during a change of command ceremony at the Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray Memorial Field here, Oct. 17, 2013. Bargeron, a native of Valdosta, Ga., previously served as the ground colonels monitor at Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters Marine Corps, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va. He replaced Col. Austin E. Renforth, who recently returned from a ten month deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan, with the regiment.
