The Taydec Mk3 of Timothy and Harindra De Silva's, competing in the HSCC Thundersports Race, at the 2022 Silverstone Classic

Built in 1970 by Tom Clapham for the International Sportscar Series, the Taydec Mk3 was a development of the Mk2 design from this small Yorkshire Car Manufacturer. This Mk3 was raced internationally by Francios Migault and Peter Hanson winning its class at Riems in 1970, competing in the British Sportscar Championship that year (best result 3rd) as well as Le Mans 24hr in 1971, Montlhery 3rd again, and Nurburgring 500kms. The car was restored completely by its current owner about 10 years ago and was raced successfully until 2-3 years ago in Masters Sportscars, the car has freshly rebuilt Ford FVC at 0 miles (by Racing Fabrications), rebuilt FT200 gearbox, lightweight bodywork and is a complete running car. Given its lack of use recently it requires new fuel cell, and crack test certificates. The car also has a good spares package comprising spare wheels, bodywork, body moulds, and some running spares including spare uprights and dampers. This is a rare car as only a handful of cars were made, this car benefits from a well documented history file of information, correspondence and bills from previous owners and results and set up sheets and running sheets which is rare to find today. The car also has new FIA HTP papers for Period GR as well as older versions of the same. An ideal entrant for Masters FIA Sportscars, Classic Endurance Racing and potentially events such as Le Mans Classic, or Monterey Historics as well.
