A rare Lorenzoni system flintlock rifle, Southern Germany, circa 1730. Slender, turn-off, octagonal barrel, slightly constricted in the middle with seven-groove rifled bore in 12 mm calibre. Engraved brass frame with left sided loading and cocking lever. Lock with engraved brass lock plate,the cock and frizzen of iron. Finely carved stock of beautifully figured walnut, restored in places in the vicinity of the lock, finely engraved brass furniture (small repair on trigger guard).
