PACIFIC OCEAN (July 1, 2022) – A Marine Corps pilot with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 362 (Reinforced), 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, dives their AH-1Z Viper as a show of force over a High-Speed Maneuvering Surface Target during an integrated, live-fire exercise, Sept. 1. The ability to operate seamlessly and simultaneously on the sea, ashore, and in the air represents the unique value of the amphibious capability provided by the Navy-Marine Corps team. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
