Dorney, UK. 2nd November, 2021. Thames Water are planning to upgrade Slough Sewage Treatment Works. One of the reasons is to increase the capacity of the sewage works. A new outfall pipeline is to be built below Dorney Common and the Jubilee River meaning Thames Water will be able to discharge "treated" effluent and storm water directly into the River Thames. Ground investigations have started and locals are very unhappy about the boreholes being dug into Dorney Common which is ancient common land used for grazing cattle during the summer months.
