SANTA RITA, Guam (July 19, 2021) - Local residents pay their respects during the Fena Cave Massacre Memorial ceremony in Santa Rita July 19. The memorial paid tribute to the CHamoru men and women from the villages of Agat and Sumay who were killed with grenades and bayonets in the caves near Fena Lake. Following the Fena Cave memorial, attendees joined the Hågat Memorial ceremony, which honored the people of the village who suffered and died during the war, as well as the service members who liberated the island.
