In the township of Aylwin, ^4 mile north of Venosta sta-tion, a vein of pegmatite cuts through a greyish garnetiferousgneiss. In the Parry Sound district, in the township of Proudfoot,a coarse and fine grained gneiss occurs, containing ciotite andmuscovite mica.
